Year 10
Nova Programme
This programme provides an alternative for students who may not wish to undertake the mainstream Year 10 Course. Its aim is to motivate and encourage students who would otherwise leave school and provides a pathway into the VCE, VCAL, VET, employment or part-time apprenticeships.
Year 11 and 12
VET Programmes
 |
Vocational Education and Training (VET) is designed to broaden the range of study options available to the growing and increasingly diverse senior school population. VET programmes enable students to undertake accredited vocational studies within a senior programme. |
VET in schools offers the opportunity for students to -
- combine general and vocational studies
- undertake learning in the workforce
- gain a nationally recognised qualification
- pursue further studies in VET courses, tertiary study or gain employment
Current programmes include Hospitality, Automotive, Engineering (Metal Fabrication), Business Administration, Agriculture and Community Services.
VCAL Programme
 |
The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning is a complimentary qualification to the VCE. It provides a statewide credential through which participating students can receive recognition for their achievements in the following areas - |
- literacy and numeracy
- work related skills
- industry specific skills
- personal development
Notre Dame College in partnership with Goulburn Ovens TAFE, further education providers, local employers, community organisations and the Local Learning and Employment Network (LLEN) have designed a programme which offers applied learning opportunities for students in Years 11 and 12.
This programme opens up new and expanded pathways for students to employments or further study.
