This year, families were randomly selected to receive an invitation to the Family Survey. If you have received a link, we warmly encourage you to take part. While participation is voluntary, your feedback is invaluable in helping us continue to grow and strengthen our College community.

Marist House - An accommodation option for students studying in Melbourne in 2026

This week our Year 12 students had the chance to hear about Marist House, a University Residence in Melbourne that caters for country students.

The House is hosted by the Marist Brothers, and provides young people with a safe, stable and supportive environment in which to engage with their tertiary studies. Br Frank visited the College on Monday to discuss Marist House as an option for our students next year.

Applications are now open for 2026, and are due by the end of October. Visits to Marist House, in Fitzroy, can be made during the upcoming school holidays.

Please understand that there is no obligation if a student decides later on not to follow through for various reasons.

Brochures and further information can be obtained from the Careers Hub or contact Br. Frank on 0407943473. Also check out the attached link for more info about Marist House- https://maristyouthministry.com/marist-house-fitzroy

College Assembly

Notre Dame College has ushered in the Season of Creation with a reflective, highly engaging and interactive whole school assembly curated by our Sustainability team, Terra Tomodachi.

Highlights of the assembly included a parade of 30 hand crafted creation posters designed by Notre Dame College students and laid out to form the word “HOPE” in reflection of our 2025 College theme Pilgrims of Hope.

Emmaus Terra Tomodachi students combined to present a powerful and challenging display of how so many of our seemingly minor day-to-day choices can make a big difference to the wellbeing of our planet.

Our Notre Dame College band presented a catchy and highly entertaining rendition of Joni Mitchell’s 1970 environmental anthem Big Yellow Taxi.

The College’s incredibly passionate Aboriginal cultural dance group Winyarr Mulana took us back into the Dreaming with a typically stirring performance and the assembly concluded with a launch of the official 2025 edition of our Terra Tomodachi drink bottles in all six house colours.

The Season of Creation runs throughout September. This year’s theme "Peace with Creation" emphasizes the interconnectedness between humanity and the Earth, and calls for concrete actions of prayer, service, and solidarity to address the environmental crisis. It also acknowledges the suffering of creation and the need to respond with hope and faith.

Well done to our Terra Tomodachi team on a fantastic tribute to our natural environment.

RU OK? Day - Mungovan and Jennings Fundraiser

R U OK? Day encourages us to check in with friends, family, and classmates.

This year’s Jennings/Mungovan fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, 10 September during extended pastoral group.

In the stadium, we will come together with a fun relay race with year level teams, where students will pass a yellow item to symbolise connection and support and to ‘pass a conversation’.

In the week leading up to the event, KitKats will be on sale for $2 and can be purchased at Knight Street, on southside from Mr Finn's office, and northside from Mr Small's office.
