Goulburn Murray District and Hume Region Swimming Carnival
After winning events at the Goulburn Murray District and Hume Region Swimming Carnivals, the below students qualified to compete at the School Sport Victoria Championships at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre on 19 April.
Competing against the best swimmers from the State, the results were as follows:
Stephie Moran: Women’s 16-20 200 LC Metre Freestyle – 3rd Place
Women’s 18-20 50 LC Metre Freestyle – 1st Place
Women’s 12-20 400 LC Metre Freestyle – 2nd Place
Campbell Wursthorn: Men’s 14 Years Old 50 LC Metre Breaststroke – 7th Place
Isla Shaw: Women’s 12-20 100 LC Metre Butterfly – 7th Place
Erica Shaw: Women’s 18-20 50 LC Metre Butterfly – 5th Place
Women’s 16-20 200 LC Metre IM- 4th Place
Kiera Shaw: Women’s 16 Year Old 50 LC Metre Backstroke – 1st Place

Isla headed to Bright last weekend for Round 1 of the 2024 Victorian Junior Road Series (VJRS) with the Alpe de Buffalo Junior Tour, which also featured the Victorian Junior Hillclimb State Championships.
This was a 2 day/3 stage tour with Isla competing in the JW15A group.
Stage 1 - Crit - 20min plus 3 Laps (around a 1.3km course)
Stage 2 - ITT - 9.4km
Stage 3 - Road Race - 27.7km up Mt Buffalo
Isla finished 4th in the 9.4km Road Race Well done Isla.
ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
NDC students gathered at McEwen Reserve on Tuesday 23 April in a range of different colours, costumes and outfits for our annual Athletics Carnival.
There were some sensational costumes worn by the students and staff which added to a great atmosphere, with the winner of the “Fashions on the Field” contest going to Pip Turton dressed as King Tut!
After 19 years of waiting to finally get their hands on the athletics trophy again, Mungovan were crowned Athletics House Champions - Congratulations Mungovan. The final standings were as follows:

2nd Jennings 900 points
3rd Crane 891 points
4th Kennedy 827 points
5th Mackillop 823 points
6th McGann 727 points
