Game Changers Solidarity Camp

Last week, the Year 11 Game Changers attended their Solidarity Camp in Melbourne, a chance to reflect on what humans need to flourish.

We began with a visit to Sisterworks, which supports migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women in building financial independence. Sonya and Belen spoke about the importance of belonging, self-confidence, and having someone to believe in us.

Next, at St Mary’s House of Welcome, a homelessness support service, we hosted afternoon tea and a pop-up clothing shop for women experiencing homelessness. The students showed deep respect for human dignity, created meaningful connections, and even shared their joy through an impromptu concert.

That evening at Marist Connect, held at Marcellin College with young people from other Marist schools, Br Tony invited us to reflect on what we want to be, do and have in our lives, and how our choices can serve others.

The following day was spent reflecting on these experiences. One student captured it beautifully, saying she was reminded that “life comes from you, not at you.” The richness of the camp came through in sharing and hearing each other’s stories.

We warmly invite students to join our Game Changers groups and take part in these transformative experiences by contacting the staff in the Faith and Ministry Office.

Year 11 student, Anna Rowland shared the following, "The year 11 Game Changers camp was a rewarding experience; we had the opportunity to learn about ourselves and peers whilst assisting the less fortunate and making their day just a little bit better, I would definitely encourage any younger students to take the opportunity if it presents itself."

Staff Health Checks

Last Wednesday, we held the 2nd annual NDC Staff Health Check Clinic day conducted by the Yr 2 VET Health Services students.

Students had the opportunity to showcase skills that they have developed over the last two years whilst studying Certificate III in Health Services Assistance.

Staff were administered a variety of checks including blood glucose monitoring, blood pressure check, BMI, vision testing and much more.

The clinic is the final SAC for VET Health students for 2025 and the professionalism, skills and communication demonstrated by students was exceptional .

Year 12 VCE Art Exhibition

On Monday night, we celebrated the opening of our Year 12 VCE Art Exhibition.

It was a wonderful evening showcasing the creativity and hard work of our senior students, with families, friends, and staff coming together to support them.

We were delighted to have special guest speaker Carmel Robertson officially open the exhibition.

The students’ artworks will remain on display in the Eastbank Foyer until 23 October. Notre Dame College warmly invite you to visit and experience the incredible talent on show.
