It was a pleasure to attend the Year 10 Debutante Ball at the Woolshed recently. The evening was a wonderful celebration of our students’ confidence, grace, and growth, and I couldn’t be more proud of how they represented themselves, their families, and our school community. We now look forward to the next and final Deb Ball for the year tomorrow night, I am sure it will be another memorable evening for those involved.

Our newly appointed Deputy Principal (Catholic Identity), Brendan Lindsay, has taken the lead in finalising the organisation of our Year 11 Immersion experiences to Thailand which are happening at the end of term. The group leaders and students are in the midst of fund raising to assist them with resources for the trips and learning more about the areas they will be visiting.

Last Wednesday I was involved in a Dialogue Day with the Most Rev Bishop Shane McKinlay, Parish Priests, senior leaders from Catholic Education Sandhurst and other Principals from across the diocese. Led by Dr Christopher Cotter, we were challenged with recognising a change of era and mission for our parishes and schools, and how we continue to build our parish/school connections. There were many insightful conversations about how we can continue to enhance the College’s connection with St Brendan’s parish. The day highlighted to me how fortunate Notre Dame is with its already strong and rewarding relationship with St Brendan’s.

Theatre Studies

Our Unit 3 Theatre Studies students are taking to the stage this week with their production of The Real Inspector Hound, performing on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

This is part of their assessment for this subject. If you manage to read this before Friday, the final performance is on tonight, Thursday, in Sacred Heart Hall, starting at 6.30pm.

All are welcome to support these talented young performers—it's a fantastic opportunity to witness the creativity and dedication of our students in action.

Enrolments

We have commenced enrolment interviews for Year 7, 2026. It’s always a joy to meet prospective students and their families, and to share with them the values, opportunities, and vibrant learning environment that define our school. If you know of any families considering enrolment, please encourage them to get in touch with our office.

Reconciliation Week

Finally, as we approach Reconciliation Week, preparations are well underway across the school.

Monday 26 May marks National Sorry Day, a significant moment for reflection and learning.

Our student leaders have been invited to be speakers at the Sorry Day Ceremony that's being held at Monash Park at 10am. All are welcome to attend.

We remain committed to fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and reconciliation within our community.

Have a great week everyone!
