This Friday, we have a staff Professional Learning Day which will focus on three areas - Psychology, Education and Neuroscience (PEN) Principles of Learning. This will further consolidate our work with Dr Jared Cooney Horvath, the familiarisation of the OCHRE framework for science and english implementation for 2026, and the upskilling of our digital capabilities in Microsoft Teams to support collaboration and delivery of curriculum to our students. These are all key components of Magnify Sandhurst – evidence based practices on teaching and learning that support each student’s unique needs.

Also on Friday, we see our first group of Year 11 students depart for an Immersion experience in Thailand. We wish them all the best with their travels and know they will return with a deeper understanding of mission.

Exams for Year 10 and 11 students are nearly done, and I am sure students are looking forward to beginning Semester Two on Monday. Please encourage your child (no matter what year level), to check their new Semester Two timetable on SEQTA for any class changes before Monday.

Absences

We are experiencing a high number of students and staff who have winter colds and flus at present, which is not unusual for this time of the year. If your son/daughter is unwell, and not attending school that day, please let us know via SEQTA Engage – Absences, email or call the absence line in the morning.

Have a great week everyone,

Emma Reynoldson
