We hope that all who attended enjoyed the student led liturgy, the chance to enjoy a conversation with each other and the breakfast. Mother’s Day gives us an opportunity to give thanks to those who play a maternal role in our lives for the guidance, love and trust they give every day.
At the beginning of next week, we say farewell to our Deputy Principal of Catholic Identity, Jason Giuliani, as he takes leave for the remainder of the year.
Jason will be working with Father Rob Galea and his ICON ministry as Director of Ministry and Strategy during this time. This role will enable Jason to combine his love of music and his faith, along with his great skills in developing and managing events.
Jason has been at Notre Dame for the past 18 years as a music and religious education teacher, along with other roles in instrumental music and leadership.
We wish Jason the very best for his leave. We are currently interviewing applicants for this position for the remainder of the year.
We have been celebrating Catholic Education week and you may have seen some articles and advertising about this in the local papers. The most recent HILDA survey (Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia) has shown that people who attended Catholic schools are likely to see lifelong benefits in employment status, general health and life satisfaction. You may like to read more about the survey findings HERE.
Our year 7 2026 enrolments closed last Wednesday, and once again, we have many applications. Our enrolments team will now start the process of offers to families based on the enrolment policy criteria, which prioritises offers in a particular order. Enrolment interviews will be conducted in the coming weeks for families that are new to Catholic education.
We continue to implement and refine our Magnify initiatives around the College and this week I would like to acknowledge how well our students and staff continue to implement the Classroom Mastery entry and exit routines to and from the classrooms. These have had a positive impact into maintaining calm classrooms for effective student learning.
