Both campuses will finish at 2:15pm as all students will be attending the Easter Liturgy at Knight Street.

Parent, Student, Teacher Interviews

Research consistently shows that parental engagement plays a crucial role in young people’s cognitive, social and emotional development. Parent, Student, Teacher Interviews provide an important opportunity to strengthen the partnership between school and home.

These interviews allow parents and students to meet with teachers, discuss progress, and work collaboratively to support learning and social wellbeing.

Interview Dates and Times

  • Wednesday 29 April | 3:50pm – 7:30pm
  • Monday 4 May | 3:50pm – 7:30pm

All interviews will be conducted onsite on the north side of Knight Street, located in the McAuley Centre and Champagnat Centre.

Booking Appointments

  • Bookings open: Wednesday 1 April @ 11:00am
  • Bookings close: Thursday 23 April @ 12:00pm

Appointments are made via the Notre Dame College Portal using SEQTA Engage or by clicking this LINK Interviews are scheduled in 10-minute intervals, and parents are able to select their preferred dates and times.

Teachers across all year levels will be available for both sessions. These interviews offer valuable feedback on students’ progress, participation, application to learning and overall performance. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and to regularly review their child’s learning via SEQTA Engage.

Important Information

  • Year 7 Art and Technology teachers and Year 9 Humanities subject teachers will not be available due to the commencement of Term 2 rotations.

Unable to Book an Appointment?

Access to SEQTA Engage is essential, as this is the only method for booking interviews.

Please note: the College office will be closed Monday 13 April to Friday 17 April, reopening Monday 20 April.

Attention Parents and Carers of Year 7-9 Students

Dear Parents and Carers,

With Term 1 nearly behind us, we hope it has been a great start to the year for your family! We are getting in touch with a quick reminder about one of the booklist items for students in Years 7, 8 and 9.

As part of our school-wide focus on Visible Learning, we are building more opportunities for students to actively engage with their learning, share their thinking, and receive feedback in the moment. Personal whiteboards play a big role in this as they give students a quick, low-pressure way to show their thinking and allow teachers to respond in real time.

Each student in Years 7, 8 and 9 needs their own whiteboard for use across a range of subjects. The item to look for is the Whiteboard Flexi A4 2 Sided Blank/Grid + Pen + Eraser, available through Campion Educational Supplies.

We know a number of families have been waiting on this one. We have checked in with Campion and can confirm that any whiteboards that were on backorder are now available to order. So if you have been holding off, now is a great time to get that sorted!

We ask that all Year 7, 8 and 9 students have their whiteboard ready by the start of Term 2.

Student Absence From School

A reminder that the College needs to be notified of student absence, including time away from school whilst on holiday.

The relevant Head of House needs to conduct an interview (absence plan) before the absence takes place.

Winter Uniform Changeover

With the weather starting to cool down, it’s time to think about winter uniform. All students are expected to be in winter uniform by Monday 4 May, so it may be wise to check that you have all the necessary items and that they are in a good condition and still fit. All year 7, 8, 10 and 11 students will be in the new winter uniform whilst students in year 9 & 12 may still wear the older styles. The new dress and short sleeve shirts are not part of the winter uniform. The old-style long sleeve shirt still requires that the College tie is worn with it. It is acceptable for students in year 9 and 12 to wear a mix of old and new styles.

Winter Uniform:

  • College navy tailored shorts or College navy skirt or College Navy tailored trousers (Grey for Years 9 and 12 permissible in 2026).
  • Long sleeve College shirt (new style for Years 7, 8, 10 & 11 in 2026).
  • College tie optional (new style for Years 7, 8, 10 & 11 in 2026).
  • College jumper (for Year 12 – Navy Blue, or Year 12 Rugby Jumper).
  • Soft Shell College jacket or College Blazer.
  • College scarf (new style for Years 7, 8, 10 & 11 in 2026).
  • College navy socks or navy tights (skirt must be worn with tights for winter). (Grey for Years 9 and 12 permissible in 2026).
  • Black, polishable lace up traditional supportive school shoes which are fully enclosed and solid with a heel.

PE Uniform:

  • Year 7, 8, 10, 11 – new College PE uniform.
  • Year 9 & 12 – old style permissible for 2026.

Each plays a vital role in shaping not just academic success, but confidence, curiosity, and lifelong learning habits.Teachers bring expertise, guidance, and structure to the classroom. Students contribute their voice, effort, and individuality to the learning process. Families provide encouragement, support, and insight into each child’s unique strengths and needs.

When these three groups work together—through open communication, mutual respect, and shared goals—learning becomes more meaningful and effective. Conversations at home reinforce classroom experiences, while feedback from families helps teachers tailor their approach. Students, in turn, feel supported from all sides, building both achievement and wellbeing.Families can play an important role in supporting learning by:

  • Talking regularly with their child about what they are learning
  • Establishing routines for homework, reading, and rest
  • Creating a positive space for study at home
  • Celebrating effort and progress, not just results
  • Staying connected with teachers and school updates
  • Encouraging curiosity through everyday experiences
