It was great to see so many of our fathers and father figures attend our Father's Day Breakfast last week. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Strong partnerships between home and school make a significant difference in the lives of our young people, and it was pleasing to see the community come together for the occasion.

This Friday, staff will participate in a professional learning day with The Man Box, an initiative developed through Jesuit Social Services' Men's Project. The program explores the expectations and pressures often placed on boys and young men and how these can impact wellbeing, relationships, and engagement with school.

Research continues to highlight concerning levels of disengagement among boys, making it important that schools continue to build their understanding of the challenges young men face and the strategies that best support them. As is the trend in most schools at present, boys at Notre Dame College are overrepresented in suspension data and wellbeing data.

We are looking forward to the Year 10 Ball this Friday evening. After weeks of practice, students have shown great improvement in their dancing skills and confidence.

Events like these provide a valuable opportunity for students to socialise, celebrate, and create positive memories with their peers.

A special thank you to Maree Geisler, whose organisation, patience, and persistence have enabled almost 300 Year 10 students to move in the same direction at the same time. It is no small feat, and we are very grateful for her efforts in preparing students for what promises to be a fantastic evening.

Please remember that students will return in summer uniform from next week and they are required to meet College expectations including appropriate condition and lengths. It is also time to rediscover the College hat, as hats will once again be required throughout Term 4.
