Happy Birthday Mary!

On Tuesday, our Catholic school community celebrated the birthday of Mary the Mother of Jesus.

This celebration invites us to reflect on the unique role she plays in our faith story. Mary’s wholehearted "yes" to God made possible the birth of Jesus, and her life continues to inspire us. She reminds us that God works through ordinary people who are open to His call, and she remains a loving model of discipleship for all members of our Notre Dame College community especially as we reflect on our Mercy and Marist charisms.

The celebration of Mary’s birthday is also a joyful opportunity to give thanks for her ongoing care and intercession. As the patroness of our College, Mary encourages us to live with compassion, kindness and hope in our daily lives. By honouring her birthday, we celebrate not only the woman chosen to be the Mother of Jesus, but also the values she exemplified and that we strive to embody each day and a commitment to bringing Christ’s love to others.
