Outstanding Athlete Awards - Semester Two
The Notre Dame College Outstanding Athlete Awards, proudly sponsored by the Marist Basketball Club, is presented to two students each semester who demonstrate good role model behaviour, commitment to academic performance, embrace the NDC values and have outstanding results in the NDC Sports Academy Program and/or when representing NDC at Inter-school Sport.
The Semester 2 award winners are as follows:
Lucas O’Hora (Year 10)
Lucas has shown a strong commitment to improve in all aspects of the Sports Academy Program across 2024 and 2025.
He has continued to push himself in the before school skill sessions and strength and conditioning sessions which have helped him achieve great success in Football (where he represented the Murray Bushrangers Under 16s) & Athletics (where he won the NDC 16yo Age Group Champion award) this year. He has upheld the NDC values as well as the Sports Academy values of Kindness, Encouragement and Commitment. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow in the program in 2026. Well done Lucas.
Giaan Williamson (Year 9)
Giann is a truly multi skilled sportsperson, having dominated in several sports this year.
For the second year in a row, Giann was selected in the Victorian Under 15 Touch Football team which competed at the School Sport Australia Championships in Ballarat from 25 October - 30 October. Earlier in the year, Giann won the NDC & Goulburn Murray Division 14yo Swimming Age Group Champion award as well as being crowned as the GMD 14yo Cross Country Champion. Along with her strong physical qualities in sport, Giaan also demonstrates good personal qualities like leadership, sportspersonship & being humble.
