Sacred Heart of Jesus

Tomorrow we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the Catholic Church this day is a profound reflection on the depth of Christ’s love for humanity.

The image of the Sacred Heart symbolises a love that is both divine and deeply human: a love that suffers, forgives, and gives itself completely for the salvation of all. Catholics honour this feast as a reminder that Jesus’ heart remains open to every person and that we are all invited into a relationship of trust, mercy, and compassion.

It is especially linked to the Eucharist, where Christ continues to offer his heart to the faithful in a living and intimate way.

From a Catholic perspective, the love of Jesus revealed in the Sacred Heart is unconditional and sacrificial. It calls all of us not only to receive that love but to imitate it in our own lives.

Ultimately, this celebration teaches that God’s love is not distant or abstract, but personal and enduring—a love that seeks each person, heals brokenness, and draws the world closer to the heart of Christ.

May we as a school community always know the love of Jesus and be comforted in this enduring love.
