2026 Year 9 Daborra Camp

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please be advised of the following information regarding the Year 9 Camp, Daborra, which will be running from Monday 23 March 2026 to Thursday 26 March 2026.

FURTHER INFORMATION – WEDNESDAY 25 February 2026

Daborra Day – Emmaus Campus

Staff from Adventure Plus will be attending the Emmaus Campus on Wednesday 25 February and will work through four different sessions during lessons 3, 4, 5, and 6. These sessions are tent setup and pack up, trangia setup, pack up and cooking on a trangia, how to pack your pack and an informative session on the location they will be attending. These are very important sessions for your child to attend, especially if they have never camped, or setup/packed up a tent or cooked on a trangia before.

Daborra Parent Information Evening – Sacred Heart Hall, Knight St

The staff from Adventure Plus will be running a parent information evening, which will provide important information and insights about the camp such as the itinerary, safety protocols, food and hygiene and the various activities planned. Attending this information evening is highly encouraged as it will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of what your child can expect whilst on camp. It also offers an excellent opportunity to address any concerns or queries you may have directly with the Adventure Plus team or staff from Notre Dame College.

Date: Wednesday 25 February 2026

Time: 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Venue: Sacred Heart Hall, Knight Street

Daborra Portal

A portal has been setup by Adventure Plus for Notre Dame College. The portal contains detailed information about each of the locations including the programme departure and arrival times, activity schedule, clothing and equipment list and specific information about the area your child will be attending.

We strongly encourage you to review the information available on the portal thoroughly and encourage your child to do the same by doing the following:

For students who have advised the College they will not be attending Daborra, this is just a friendly reminder that there will be no school for your child whilst Daborra is running and they will be required to remain at home.

Friday 27 March is a pupil free day for all Year 9 students only. Students will return to school on Monday 30 March 2026.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the College on 58228400.

Year 12 Retreat

A three day program designed to provide an opportunity for students to develop and consolidate their relationships with both their peers, teachers and our Catholic story.

A combination of personal, social and spiritual activities aimed at building a capacity to take an active and positive place in the world.

The Retreat program forms an integral part of fulfilling the Graduate Outcomes for all students at the College.

This year, the three locations were:

  • Crane & Kennedy visited Harrietville
  • McGann & MacKillop visited Lower Plenty
  • Jennings & Mungovan visited Upper Plenty

Carlton Football Club Visit

On Friday, Mr Belcher's Year 8 PE class were given the opportunity to meet four Carlton Football Club players.

The session started with a fun Q & A where the students were able to find out a bit more about each player.
Thank you to Billy Wilson, Adam Saad, Marc Pittonet and Jordan Boyd for sharing some of their secrets with us.
Students then participated in various football drills to test their skills against some of the best!

Thank you to Carlton Football Club for this wonderful experience.
