Another busy and productive week for our College; I would like to acknowledge several important events and the people who contributed to their success.

I begin by thanking the mothers and significant women who joined us for our Mother’s Day Breakfast last week. It was an opportunity to come together as a community and recognise the role families play in supporting the learning and wellbeing of our students. I also thank the staff and students who organised the breakfast and supported the event on the day. Your effort ensured the morning ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all in attendance.

I am also pleased to acknowledge the Sandhurst Student Leadership Day, which our College hosted last week. The day was attended by over 80 student leaders from secondary schools across the Sandhurst Diocese. It was a valuable opportunity for students to come together, share ideas and learn more about leadership in practice.

We were fortunate to have the Director of Catholic Education address the group, and students participated in a range of workshops that focused on leadership skills, responsibility and service. In addition to the learning that took place, the day provided an important opportunity for students to build connections across schools and begin developing a broader student leadership network within the Diocese. It was a great opportunity for all.

Finally, I acknowledge and thank our Student Leaders for their work in promoting Do It For Dolly Day last Friday. Their efforts helped raise awareness of the impact of bullying and reinforced the importance of kindness and respect within our community. Their leadership in supporting this initiative reflects a strong commitment to student wellbeing and to creating a safe and inclusive school environment.
