At the start of the year, Catholic Education Sandhurst released a Cultural Covenant – a collective promise across all diocesan schools regarding our purpose, behaviours, and aspirations.
This covenant will guide us in why we exist, what we will do, how we will behave and how we will succeed.
Staff have already heard from Kate Fogarty, our executive director, about the covenant, and will be unpacking each element in upcoming staff meetings in greater detail. The covenant will further align schools across the Sandhurst diocese and will affirm to our parents and communities our commitment to serve and lead with integrity. I will share more information about the covenant as we contextualise it to our College Community.
We have some vacancies on our College Advisory Council – more information can be found in the newsletter on how to nominate, but if you are keen to contribute and be part of our strategic improvement plans, this may be a great opportunity for you.
With our final Year 7 camp finishing on Wednesday, it has been wonderful to hear of camp experiences and successes from the students. It has also been affirming to hear from staff on how settled our Year 7 classes are and the engagement of students in their learning has been since camp. I am sure many new friendships were formed whilst on camp which have contributed to a collaborative environment in the classrooms.
