Goulburn Murray Division Interschool Sport Carnivals

Notre Dame College will enter teams in the following GMD Inter School Sports Carnivals this year:

  • Winter Sports (held during May for all Year Levels): Hockey, Basketball, Football, Netball, Badminton, Soccer, Cross Country, Clay Target Shooting.
  • Summer (held 6 March for Year 9-12 & 14 October for Year 7/8) : Table Tennis, Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball.

Students can compete in one GMD Winter and one GMD Summer Inter School Sport.

Nomination information will be forwarded to all students in the weeks leading up to the Carnivals.

Due to limited positions available, nominating for a sport does not guarantee a student will be selected in a team.

School Sport VIC Teams

Notre Dame College students are eligible for selection in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) teams which compete at the 2026 Australian National Championships.

Information on the Victorian teams, including nomination details, can be found at the Team Vic page on the SSV website - www.ssv.vic.edu.au - whilst information on national events can be found at the School Sport Australia website, www.schoolsportaustralia.edu.au

Nominations are now open for Parents to register their child to trial for SSV State teams.

NDC Year 7 & 8 Swimming Carnival

The details for the NDC Year 7 & 8 Swimming Carnival on Friday 20 February are noted below:

    • all Year 7 & 8 students attend and leave at the end of PG & return to NDC at 3-00pm
    • Students are encouraged to dress up in their house colours and/or costumes but will need to be SunSmart by applying sunscreen and wearing a broad brimmed hat. Please note Streamers & face paint are not to be put on until the students arrive at Aquamoves.
    • Pizza & soft drink sales will be available. Parents are not to drop off food to students throughout the day.
    • Bi-Athlon, Novelty events, “Fashions on the Field” competition etc will be part of the day.
    • Lanes 1 & 8 will be used as the “Swim for your House” lanes. Students can swim, dog paddle or even walk a lap in the water to earn extra points for their House

Senior Swimming Carnival

On Thursday 12 February, the College held it’s Senior Swimming Carnival at Aquamoves, where our Year 9–12 competitors enjoyed a wonderful summers day as they took to the pool for an exciting day of competition.

Records were broken in the pool by Year 11 Jennings student Nicholas Antonello, now holding the 100m Freestyle (1:06.16) and 50m Breastroke (41.35) records, well done Nicholas!

With some outstanding efforts in the pool, our Age Group Champions for the day were as follows:
