Meet Lorenzo Rigoli



A Year 12 student at Notre Dame College. Lorenzo is off in September to Barcelona, Spain to train and play tennis, his big passion. Lorenzo will be travelling with local superstar player Rhian Eddy. Only two from this region will be on the tour.
Lorenzo is an ambitious 17-year-old with dreams as big as his game! Transitioning from soccer to tennis, inspired by his mum, Lorenzo has poured his heart into the sport, becoming a dedicated and resilient player.
Known for his defensive play and ability to keep points alive, he’s currently focused on developing a more aggressive style to dominate matches. His favorite move, the tweener, showcases his flair and athleticism on the court.
He’s excited to fine-tune his game on Spain’s iconic clay courts, learning to adapt his strategies and footwork on the surface that has shaped some of the greatest players in history.

Year 10-12 Inter House Sports


The Year 10-12 Inter House Sports are played at lunch time in the Mercy Stadium through Terms 1 & 2, where students take great pride in representing their House in Basketball & Netball competitions.

The Grand Finals of both competitions were played this week in front of massive crowds, which created a great atmosphere.

The results were as follows:
Basketball:🏀🟣Mungovan 23 def 🟢Kennedy 18
Netball:🏐🟡Mackillop 23 def 🟠McGann 16

CROSS COUNTRY

15 NDC students competed at the Hume Region Cross Country event in Benalla on 13th June. All students ran well, with the following students finishing in the top 12 of their events and will therefore progress through to the School Sport Victoria Cross Country Championships at Yarra Glen on 24 July:

  • 13yo Boys – Brody McPherson (11th)
  • 14yo Girls – Giaan Williamson (10th)
  • 15yo Girls – Summa Sidebottom (2nd)
  • 15yo Girls – Lucy Hemming (8th)
  • 15yo Boys – Matthew Jaap (3rd)
  • 16yo Boys – Cody O’Donnell (5th)
  • 17-20yo Boys – Jack Gospel (3rd)
  • 17-20yo Boys – Jayden Crossley (11th)
