A very warm welcome to Term 2. I hope the holiday break was re‑energising for everyone and that you were able to enjoy valuable time together over the Easter period. Breaks such as these provide an important opportunity to rest, reflect and reconnect, and I trust our students have returned refreshed and ready for a positive term of learning.

Thank you to families for your support of our professional learning day on Monday. While students enjoyed an extended break, staff were deeply engaged in further building their knowledge and skills to best support every learner. Our focus remained firmly on student engagement, motivation and mindset, alongside refining whole‑class instruction techniques and deepening our shared understanding of the “how” of instruction. This work is central to our ongoing implementation and consolidation of Magnify Sandhurst, and we are committed to ensuring high‑quality, consistent teaching practices across the school to support strong learning outcomes for all students.

I would also like to extend a warm welcome to our newly announced bishop, the ninth Bishop of Sandhurst, Most Reverend Rene Ramirez RCJ. We look forward to his leadership and guidance within the Diocese and keep him in our prayers as he begins this important ministry.

As we move further into the cooler months, a reminder that students are required to be in full winter uniform from Monday, 4 May. Thank you for your continued support in maintaining our uniform expectations, which contribute to a strong sense of pride and belonging within our school community.

I look forward to another productive and rewarding term working together with you in supporting the learning, wellbeing and faith development of our students.
