Alleluia! Jesus is Risen!

Easter is the heart of our Catholic faith where we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the victory of life over death, hope over despair, and love over sin.

For Catholics, Easter proclaims that God’s promises are fulfilled and that new life is always possible through Christ. It invites our Notre Dame College community to reflect on the Paschal Mystery—Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection—and to recognise that God is present even in moments of difficulty and uncertainty. This season calls us to renew our faith, to trust in God’s mercy, and to live as people shaped by hope and compassion.

Within the Notre Dame College community, Easter has a special significance as it inspires us to live out our Catholic identity through service, gratitude, and care for one another. The resurrection challenges students, staff, and families to be people of light—seeking justice, showing forgiveness, standing with those in need and being peacemakers. As a faith-based community, Easter encourages us to recommit to our mission of educating the whole person, grounded in Gospel values, so that we may carry Christ’s message of hope into our school and the wider world.

A very Happy Easter to you all.

Keeping the chaos holy,
Brendan Lindsay, Deputy Principal - Catholic Identity.
