Ruby Emanuelli

Year 11 Student Ruby Emanuelli recently competed in a highly prestigious equestrian competition, the State Horse Trials held at the Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre from 8 - 10 May.

She and her pony Rover, achieved third place in combined training, fifth place in horse trials, and were 1 of 5 who finished the cross country out of 27 competitors!

Ruby has been riding since 2020, and has trained 13 ponies over the years. She trains every day on her 10 acre property in Ardmona. On top of the hour and a half of riding, she also grooms, untacks, and feeds her pony daily.

Ruby thanks her family, specifically her mum, for supporting her passion and helping her travel to events.

Next year, she hopes to compete at the Melbourne International Three Day Event held at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.

Cody O'Donnell & Blake Manning

Congratulations to Cody O’Donnell and Blake Manning, who represented the North East Region on Sunday 14 June at the 17 & Under Male Netball Association Championships.

The Association Championships is a representative netball competition that brings together talented players from associations across Victoria to compete at a high level of junior netball. Joining teammates from Wodonga, Cody and Blake competed against some of the state's strongest young netball talent.

Showing determination, resilience and grit throughout the day, they gave their all in every match and were unlucky to narrowly miss out on a place in the finals.

Well done Cody and Blake on a fantastic achievement.
