Junior Swimming Carnival

Our Junior Swimming Carnival was held on 20 February for our Year 7-8 students. The carnival proved a huge success with record entries in the events, and some terrific costumes and colours worn by the students to support their houses.

The following students had outstanding results to win the Age Group Champions awards:

13yo Girls – Harper Kittlety (Jennings); Boys – Gagana Perera (Crane)

14yo Girls – Imogen Walsh (Mackillop); Boys – Ethan McCracken (Mackillop)

The records broken at the carnival were as follows:

14yo Boys 50m Breaststroke – Ethan McCracken (38.72s)

14yo Boys 50m Butterfly - Ethan McCracken (38.75)

Congratulations to all students who represented their house at the carnival.

Goulburn Murray Division Inter School Sport Carnivals

Notre Dame College will enter teams in the following GMD Inter School Sports Carnivals this year:

• Winter Sports (held during May for all Year Levels): Hockey, Basketball, Football, Netball, Badminton, Soccer, Cross Country, Clay Target Shooting.
• Summer (held 6 March for Year 9-12 & 14 October for Year 7/8) : Table Tennis, Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball.

Students can compete in one GMD Winter and one GMD Summer Inter School Sport.

Nomination information will be forwarded to all students in the weeks leading up to the Carnivals.

Due to limited positions available, nominating for a sport does not guarantee a student will be selected in a team.

School Sport VIC Teams

Notre Dame College students are eligible for selection in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) teams which compete at the 2026 Australian National Championships.

Information on the Victorian teams, including nomination details, can be found at the Team Vic page on the SSV website - www.ssv.vic.edu.au - whilst information on national events can be found at the School Sport Australia website, www.schoolsportaustralia.edu.au

Nominations are now open for Parents to register their child to trial for SSV State teams.
