As we conclude this week's ACER School Improvement Tool (SIT) Review, I would like to sincerely thank all staff, students, parents and carers who contributed to the process. The review provided an important opportunity to reflect on our strengths, identify areas for further growth, and gather valuable feedback about the experiences of those who make up our College community.
The review panel met with a range of stakeholders, visited classrooms, and examined evidence of our work across learning, wellbeing and community life. I was particularly proud of the openness, professionalism and commitment shown by everyone involved.
Thank you to the parents and carers who participated in focus groups, the students who shared their experiences so thoughtfully, and our staff who generously contributed their time while continuing to focus on supporting student learning.
Our Year 12 students are now entering a critical phase of the year. With final assessments and examinations fast approaching, I encourage all students to remain focused on their study commitments, seek support when needed, and make the most of the opportunities available to them. Consistent effort over the coming weeks will place them in the strongest possible position as they prepare to complete their secondary schooling.
Over recent weeks, we have been interviewing students for our 2027 leadership positions. Every year I am impressed by the quality of our applicants and the thoughtful way they reflect on service, leadership and their hopes for the future of our College. Our interview panel consistently remarks that, regardless of the outcome, the process itself is a valuable learning experience that helps students grow in confidence and develop important communication and leadership skills.
Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming students and staff from schools across the Sandhurst Diocese for the launch of Socktober. This special event celebrates World Mission Month and will bring together young people for Mass, fellowship and workshops focused on faith, justice and service. We are looking forward to hosting this gathering and to sharing the day together.
