After winning the GMD & Hume Region Carnivals, NDCs Intermediate & Senior Boys Tennis teams competed at the School Sport Victoria State Championships in Melbourne recently.

The results were as follows:

Senior Boys:

• Match 1: NDC 1 set / 10 games def by Anglican Grammar Kalkallo 5/25
• Match 2: NDC 1/11 def by Bendigo Senior SC 5/23
• Match 3: NDC 1/8 def by Horsham SC 5/21

The team finished 8^th in the State.

Intermediate Boys:

• Match 1: NDC 0/4 def by Greensborough SC 6/24
• Match 2: NDC 0/6 def by Catherine McAuley College Bendigo 6/24
• Match 3: NDC 4/19 def Horsham SC 2/16

The team finished 5^th in the State.

The Intermediate Boys team won the SSV’s Spirit of Sport award, which is presented to the team who shows excellent conduct, teamwork, and engagement throughout the competition.

GMD Cross Country

29 NDC students competed at the Goulburn Murray Division Cross Country event in Shepparton on 20^th May.

Students who won a ribbon in their event were as follows:

• Matthew Jaap (2^nd 15YO Boys)
• Cody O’Donnell (3^rd 16YO Boys)
• Jack Gospel (1^st 17-20YO Boys)
• Jayden Crossley (3^rd 17-20YO Boys)

The following students have qualified for the Hume Region Cross Country event in Benalla on the 13^th June by finishing in the top 12 of their Age Group:

Imogen Walsh, Giaan Williamson, Ivy Stevens, Malaila Currey, Louise Garcia, Isla Shaw, Summa Sidebottom, Lucy Hemming, Elyse Vella, Zara Ludeman, Annabelle Novac, Brodie Mcpherson, Fletcher Hicks, Matthew Jaap, Cody O’Donnell, Aidan May, Jack Gospel and Jayden Crossley.
