School Sport Vic Swimming Championships

After outstanding performances at the Goulburn Murray Division and Hume Region Swimming Carnivals held in March, 6 students – Ethan McCracken, Nicholas Antonello, Imogen Walsh, Idylla Damien, Amelia Baker and Mia Kalms won through to the SSV State Swimming Championships held on April 23 at MSAC in Melbourne. Competing against the best swimmers from around the state, their results are noted below:

Men’s 17 50m Butterfly, place 9th

Men’s 12-20 400m Freestyle, place 7th

Men’s 17 50m Backstroke, place 7th

Ethan McCracken

Men’s 14 50m Breaststroke, place 8th

Women 14 200m Freestyle Relay

Amelia Baker, Imogen Walsh, Idylla Damien, Mia Kalms – place 5th

Notre Dame College Athletics Carnival

The NDC Athletics Carnival was held at McEwen Reserve on Friday 24 April. All students enjoyed the beautiful Autumn day whilst competing for their House in events, or cheering on their friends as they ran, jumped or threw on the track or in the field.

After taking home the trophy for the last two years, Mungovan was crowned Athletics House Champions for the third year in a row - Congratulations Mungovan!!!
