Year 10 Retreat – Truth, Beauty and Goodness

This week our Year 10 students participated in their Year 10 Retreat Day. During this time students were given the opportunity to explore who God is through the theme of ‘Truth, Beauty and Goodness.’

The retreat began with a time of prayer followed by an interview with one of our workshop presenters, Sr Katherine Stone from the Missionaries of God’s Love who spoke about her life as a religious sister.

Students then worked through three different workshops including a workshop exploring the truth of who God is, another workshop looking at the beauty of God in our world and a final workshop creating birthing kits for women in Africa as an act of God’s goodness for others.

Each year the opportunity to take time out for a retreat is an important part of the Year 10 Programme. As a Catholic school, it is important that we provide students with an opportunity to reflect on their relationship with God.

Recent studies have shown that students are keen to take a deeper dive into faith and religion and this retreat provides such an opportunity. Our students are to be commended for how they engaged in this retreat in a prayerful and mature manner. Please pray for our students as they continue on their own personal journeys of faith.

Keeping the chaos holy,
