Important Update: How We Collect Your Child’s Medical Information

Operoo will be closing in Australia in January. As a result, Notre Dame College will be moving to Consent2Go for managing medical information and excursion permissions.

Please note:

• From Monday, 1 December 2026, we will stop syncing any data entered in Operoo.
• Until Consent2Go is live, any updates to your child’s medical information must be communicated directly to the College office.
• In the coming weeks, you will receive messages from Consent2Go asking you to review and update your details. Please respond promptly to ensure your child’s information is accurate.

Bus Travel for 2026

From 2026, all students under 18 can travel free on local buses and country school buses across Victoria. For local buses, you will no longer be required to complete a form, however you will need a Youth Myki Card (cost $5) to access free travel. Further information regarding the Myki Card will be available mid December via Transport Victoria website.

2026 Instrumental Music Programme

The Instrumental Music Programme at Notre Dame College aims to establish and nurture a lifelong love of music in our students.

Through learning, listening and performing music we can appreciate the therapeutic value of music in our everyday lives. Music has intrinsic value and immeasurable capacity to act on the mind, heart, spirit and soul. The benefits of learning, singing and playing music are dynamic.

Mercy Cup Finale

One of the final responsibilities of our 2025 Year 9 Leaders was presenting the funds raised through this
year’s Mercy Cup soccer tournament.

Shepparton Foodshare CEO, Dee Healey, visited the Emmaus campus to accept the donation of $922 on
behalf of the organisation and spoke with our leaders about the importance of community connectedness, as
well as the reality of food insecurity in our region.

Her message reinforced how meaningful student-led initiatives can be in supporting local families.

Since the inception of the Mercy Cup, the Emmaus community has contributed more than $3,000 to Shepparton Foodshare, a testament to the generosity, leadership, and spirit of our students.

Well done all, this is an amazing effort!!

Year 7 Science

This week our Year 7 students submerged a research vessel, and completed a series of challenges in order to switch to the emergency battery and turn the lights back on.

Along the way, they learned about ocean exploration and innovations for the future of our oceans.

To solve each challenge, they needed to draw on their scientific knowledge from a range of different disciplines.

Students had 45 minutes to complete their mission.

Year 9 Tree Planting

During lunch, on Wednesday 26 November the Terra Tomodachi, and Emmaus Student Leaders planted the Year 9 2025 cohort tree. The Corymbia ficifolia tree, or Baby Orange Flowering Gum Tree is an Australian native tree with striking orange flowers which attract birds and insects.

A plaque will be placed on a rock near the base of the tree and will serve as a reminder of this year’s group of students at Emmaus.

In future, students can return and reflect on both their personal growth journey, and the growth of their tree.
