Season of Creation

As we celebrate the Season of Creation throughout September, we are invited to reflect on our shared responsibility to care for God's creation.

This special time in the Church's calendar calls us to deepen our appreciation of the natural world as a gift from God and to consider how our daily choices impact the environment and future generations. Inspired by Pope Francis' call in Laudato Si', we are encouraged to be good stewards of our common home through prayer, learning, and action.

At Notre Dame College, the Season of Creation provides an opportunity for our community to live out our Catholic values by fostering respect, gratitude, and care for all of creation.

Earlier this week our Terra Tomadachi (Friends of the Earth) students guided by our Sustainability Leader, Phil Guthrie, led our Season of Creation assembly.

It was a great opportunity for us all to come together and be inspired to take on small actions that will help protect our environment from picking up extra rubbish to encouraging a greater focus on recycling.

May this season inspire us to work together to protect and nurture the world entrusted to us by God, ensuring it remains a place of beauty and hope for all.

Keeping the chaos holy,
