2026 Year 7s First Day

On Friday 30 January, the Year 7s began their journey at Notre Dame College! They were full of energy and we loved seeing their smiling faces around campus. We wish them all the best for 2026!

College Opening Assembly

Notre Dame College welcomed our Year 8 students for their first day back on Monday and did so with a general assembly in the Mercy Stadium.

The assembly started with a procession in of our new Year 7's and we unpacked the NDC theme for 2026
being 'Pursuing Peace with Grace'.

Acting Principal Emma Reynoldson gave her welcoming address, and we announced publicly and awarded
badges to our Specialist Leaders for 2026.

A great start to the year!

Resource Materials

All students must have the required books, stationery and specified calculator.

Items can be purchased through Campion School Supplies (13 Telford Drive, Shepparton) or via the Sustainable School Shop.

Details can be found HERE on the College website.

Uniform

Student uniforms should reflect the pride and respect students have for themselves and the College. Therefore, they should be well maintained and in good condition at all times.

The College uniform can be purchased from Noone, 2B/210 Corio Street, Shepparton, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or Saturday 9am to 1pm, or online via their website https://www.noone.com.au.  Noone offer delivery to your house (with a charge) or free delivery to the College once a week where the item will be given to your child to take home.

For second-hand uniform you can either purchase from:

  • College Terra Tomodachi Thrift Shop (previously College Uniform Shop, Corio Ave)

Please ensure that all your child’s uniform items are clearly labelled with their name, so they can be returned if lost. We do not keep unnamed lost property indefinitely.

A reminder that College backpacks are compulsory items for students in all year levels.

PE uniform is only to be worn only on days when students have double lesson of Physical Education. Black leather school shoes are to be worn for all technology classes to meet safety requirements, so if your child is wearing Physical Education on these days, they must also bring their black leather shoes.

What To Do If Student Is Away / Late / or Leaving Early

Daily school attendance is important to establish success for young people in their education and to ensure they don’t fall behind socially or academically. The College places great importance in all students being at school on time, every day the school is open for instruction. If your son/daughter is going to be absent from school, we ask that you let us know by 9am by entering the absences via SEQTA Engage or emailing absences@notredame.vic.edu.au.

Leave Passes: Normally only issued for medical or dental appointments during school hours. Parents are required to write a note requesting a Leave Pass. The note should contain the following information:

  • Date
  • Student’s name
  • Reason for Leave Pass
  • Time of departure and return to the College (if not returning the note needs to state this)
  • Parent signature

Notes must be presented to their teacher at time of leaving. They must then sign out via the Kiosk at Reception before leaving with their note, and sign back in when they return.

Arriving Late to School

In line with the Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017, there are approved and unapproved reasons for students who are late to school.

  • Approved and Unapproved reasons for lateness to school include:
  • Medical or dental appointment where a Certificate of Attendance has been provided from the health professional
  • Transport – where a school bus has been the cause of the lateness
  • Unavoidable cause/unforeseen events which are explained in a parent note or contact with the Head of House/Head of Community
  • Unapproved reasons for lateness to school include:
  • Leisure activities
  • Sleeping in
  • Truancy
  • Medical appointments not substantiated with a Certificate of Attendance

Students must sign in at Student Reception if they arrive at school after morning Pastoral Group before going to any classes. If arriving during morning Pastoral Group, students are to attend Pastoral Group and show their note/certificate of attendance to their Pastoral Group Leader.

Students who do not sign in at Reception when they arrive at school or who are late multiple times for unapproved reasons will be followed up by their Head of House/Learning Community Leader.

School Drop Off and Pickup

Knight St Campus

At the end of the school day, Knight St and surrounding streets become very busy with students being collected from Notre Dame and St Brendan’s Primary School. We ask that parents arrange suitable pickup points if they are collecting their son/daughter, as we have had several near misses in certain areas. We ask that students are not collected from either side of Skene St between Knight St and Nixon due to the congestion of the buses and the increased risk when students cross the road.

We also ask that parents do not use the front of the corner shop, the church carpark or church grounds as a collection points. We also would like to remind parents to obey all traffic and parking regulations around the College.

Emmaus Campus

To ensure the safety of our students, St Luke’s students, parents and staff, drop-offs and pick-ups at the Emmaus Campus must be done at the designated zone accessible through the entrance to St Luke’s Primary School. To reach this zone, use the St. Luke’s entry on the Goulburn Valley Highway and then proceed directly to the designated car park which runs parallel to the Goulburn Valley Highway. Parents/guardians are at no time permitted to collect their child from the car park directly in front of St Luke’s Primary School or from the bus parking bays and are not to stop in the roundabout, even when traffic is stopped. Students must use the footpath, which is a continuation of the Emmaus Bus Walk, when they are dropped off or collected. Students and parents are not permitted to walk through the car park or the bus parking bay at any time.

Parents/guardians are only allowed to drop-off or pick-up their child from the Emmaus staff car park (via Grace Road), if you are dropping them off after 9:00am or collecting them before 3:00pm or if they are on crutches. This must otherwise remain clear at all other times for staff and delivery vehicles coming in and out of the campus.
