Last week, we gathered as a College community to celebrate our Opening College Mass. It was a beautiful occasion that set the tone for our year ahead.

My sincere thanks to our staff, students and families who contributed to the liturgy — particularly those involved in the readings, music, ministry and preparation behind the scenes. Celebrating together in faith reminds us of our shared commitment to nurturing young people in a community grounded in dignity, compassion and service.

We wish every success to the many students who have been auditioning for this year's College production of The Addams Family. It takes courage to step forward and share your talents, and we commend all students who are preparing audition pieces. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or supporting friends, involvement in The Arts enriches our College life and strengthens confidence, collaboration and creativity. We look forward to an outstanding production later in the year.

A reminder that next Tuesday is a student free day as staff will be participating in our annual Marist Spirituality Day.

This day provides valuable time for reflection, renewal and strengthening of our shared mission as Catholic educators. For students, this presents a wonderful opportunity for a mini mid-term break — a chance to rest, recharge and return ready for the weeks ahead.

A gentle reminder to families regarding student leave passes during the school day. If your child needs to leave early, please provide a written note addressed to their respective Head of House. This should be shown to the Head of House at the beginning of the day. This ensures clear communication and minimises disruption to learning and to the front office. We appreciate your support in following this process rather than phoning the office where possible.
