As we continue through the term, I would like to acknowledge several recent events and thank families and students for their continued engagement with College life.

With Mother’s Day approaching, we warmly invite all mothers and mother‑figures to attend our Mother’s Day Breakfast on Thursday morning. This is a simple opportunity to gather as a community and recognise the important role mothers play in the lives of our children and families. Within our Catholic tradition, mothers are recognised as central to family life, faith and care. We look forward to welcoming many of our mums on Thursday morning.

I would also like to thank all students in years 9 - 12 who participated in the recent GMD Sports Day. Students represented the College well through their effort, behaviour and willingness to support one another. Events such as this rely on positive participation, and it was pleasing to see students demonstrating teamwork and resilience throughout the day. Thank you to staff and families who supported the event and encouraged student involvement.

As we move into the cooler months, thank you to families for ensuring students are wearing the winter uniform correctly. Maintaining uniform standards helps students feel prepared for learning and contributes to a consistent and respectful learning environment. Your support with this is appreciated.

Over the past week, Parent‑Teacher Interviews were held across the College. Thank you to families for taking the time to meet with teachers and engage in conversations about student learning and progress. We hope these discussions provided clear and useful feedback about current achievement and areas for improvement. Setting clear goals is an important part of learning, and we trust students now have a better understanding of what they need to focus on to continue to achieve well.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the College. Your involvement plays a vital role in supporting student learning and wellbeing, and we value the partnership we share with families as we work together throughout the year.
