This week we farewelled the wonderful Jason Guiliani as he starts his leave until the end of the year. Jason has been our Deputy Principal of Catholic Identity for the past 4 years. He has left us to embark on an adventure with Fr Rob Galea and his ICON ministry as Director of Strategy and Mission.

Replacing Jason in the deputy principal role is Brendan Lindsay.

Brendan has been at Notre Dame for the past 8 years teaching religious education and humanities. Before starting his teaching career he held leadership roles in youth ministry. We warmly welcome Brendan to the leadership team.

Our enrolment process for our 2026 Yr 7 students is in full swing with provisional offers being made to siblings of current students. We have also held information sessions to parents of baptised Catholic children and children who have been in Catholic primary schools and then released provisional offers. We will begin our one to one interviews for the remaining families next week. Once again, our enrolment applications exceed our number of places we can offer which is a difficult space to navigate.

We hope that all the mothers that attended out breakfast last Thursday had a wonderful time. There was certainly a positive vibe in the quadrangle and some great leadership shown by our student leaders.

Our Year 8 students joined the Elevate Education journey this week, attending the "Study Skills Kick Start" seminar after Years 10-12 participated in specialised workshops earlier this year. During this engaging session, students learnt valuable techniques for academic success including dynamic reading strategies, effective note-taking methods, conceptual learning approaches, and independent study skills. These research-backed workshops are specifically designed to help students develop sustainable study habits that boost confidence and improve academic performance.

This week is National Careers Week and we are celebrating the importance of career development with some in-school activities for the students and a display of 169 career opportunities to demonstrate the varied careers and career development opportunities available across Australia.
